Digital & Social Media SherpaWhy did you decide to join Sherpa Marketing?
I joined Sherpa Marketing so that I could leverage my expertise in digital and social media with a marketing firm that is focused on making sure projects are launched and in the market impacting business. And that’s what digital and social media require to make a difference – implementation, follow up and follow through, and Sherpa Marketing excels at that. Oh, that and I did live above 10,000 feet for 5 years so I was ready for the “altitude” of Sherpa Marketing as well!
What is your role on the Expedition?
My specialization is in digital and social media strategy, development and implementation. I develop a roadmap for a successful digital strategy program and put together social media maps that guide clients through the ever-changing social media landscape.
What is different about your process?
A lot of people claim to be social media “gurus and experts”. I’ve been working in the digital space since 1995 and start every project with setting goals and objectives, mapping out the most effective solution and ensure that everything is tracked back through analytics.
What is your professional background?
I believe in the power of connecting brands with consumers in new and innovative ways. I develop integrated digital and social marketing campaign strategies to help achieve client objectives, including the convergence of traditional and new media to effectively influence inform and engage key audiences.
I have 17 years of integrated marketing and 13 years of digital marketing experience and have been working in the digital arena since 1995.
I have a bachelor’s degree in marketing from the University of Minnesota and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communications from the University of Colorado.
What else do we need to know about you?
I am a complete outdoor enthusiast and have been a semi-professional cyclist for 15 years. I spent 5 years living above 10,000 feet.
